East Africa Mission
"for I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat; I was thirsty and you gave Me nothing to drink; I as a stranger and you did not invite me in; and in prison, and you did not visit me. They they themselves will also answer, saying 'Lord, when did we see You hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not take care of you?' Then He will answer them saying, 'Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.' "
Matthew 25: 42-45.
Gatehouse Porth continues to support the work begun during that time. We are supporting work in four areas of Tanzania at the present time. The main base is in Arusha and work is also carried out in Tanga, Babati and Zanzibar.

We aim to provide practical assistance in the areas where we work. We work to supply for the basic needs of people such as mosquito nets to protect against infection, micro-finance to support the establishment of businesses in the villages and goats to provide a sustenance.

In addition we also seek to build God's kingdom. We hold 'Faith Houses' to help develop the principles of faith, work in schools through sporting marvels to develop character and build Godly principles and supply finance to build local churches.
There is much to do and the Gatehouse will never stop helping and caring for the dear people of this nation.
All the profits made from sales of the teaching CDs from Gatehouse go to support the work in East Africa.
The average income in Tanzania is approximately £50 (GBP) per month. Approximately 36% of the population live below the poverty line according to American government sources. £1 (GBP ) would be sufficient to feed a whole family for a day. It is these circumstances that we are seeking to work into.
